Our client is a 100% Australian owned organisation with offices in the USA also. Predominantly operating in the high tech arena of satellite communications and wireless communication services, ie anything that involves communication without a landline or need for fixed broadband. In existence over 10 years, they have continued to be at the forefront of modern technology that is being offered here in Australia, and with a specialised R&D team and an experienced MD, have recently launched a gps product that can almost be described as untouchable with the competition left trailing in their wake! With a modern office, with all of the modern technology you would expect, they are a small team, based in close proximity to one of their major verticals, the aviation industry. Other key verticals include maritime, land and satellite data. A company that operates in a "sexy" exciting market space, this is a company who really impressed me on meeting them and their enthusiasm for the future really rubs off on you. Due to unprecedented growth in their product range and incoming interest in their offering, the urgent need for a Brisbane based BDM has arisen.
Position:
The position of BDM has become available immediately and is a truly dynamic role. With a fantastic management team consisting of an MD and Sales Manager who are both professional and friendly, you will have excellent support on all aspects of the role. Effectively taking to market the most cutting edge, high tech, cost effective product that within two months will increase the client's efficiency and profitability - to be honest, if you cannot sell this product, sales is not for you! Targeting the SME, Corporate and Government sectors, you will also be responsible for getting the company's foot through a lot of new doors, healthcare, transport, construction etc, with a real focus on the healthcare sectors, nurses on home visit duty etc. A newly created role, there is so much scope for career progression and personal development, but the real carrot has to be the financial element of this role, with a massive commission structure in place, especially for those with an existing client base.
Candidate:
Without question Business to Business Sales experience goes without saying and is a MUST. Realistically for this position, you must have either sold a wireless communication product before (telco / mobile / satellite / blackberry) or have a database of clients in Brisbane that you could effectively attack on day two of joining the business. Healthcare clients would be a major advantage as this is the direction they would like to take. A strategic, road warrior, a solutions sales assassin, a predatory hunter, are all needed in one candidate.
Remuneration: $65K ( highly negotiable for the right candidate) plus vehicle or allowance, plus unbelievable, unlimited commission scheme. First year $110K+ second year in excess of $150-160K.
