Payroll Officer

Sandvik Mining and Construction seeks
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Process the weekly, fortnightly and monthly Payrolls
- Preparation of termination calculations and payments.
- Process and maintain the data entered into the Payroll System on a day-to-day basis. Data entry includes newstarter set-up, employee materfile changes, allowance and deduction updates, superannuation fund set-up and compliance checks.
- Adhoc & standard Payroll reporting.
- Ensure that all aspects of the pay process; Payroll Details, ECT, Costing, Salary Packaging and EPS Reports reconcile with each other.
- Assisting managers and employees with their queries.
- Filing of all paperwork after each Pay Run.
- Further training and development required to update knowledge, skills and abilities for Career Development.
YOUR PROFILE
- Capability to work well as part of a team in a busy deadline driven environment.
- Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with employees, regarding Payroll issues, at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work methodically, use consistent processes and focus on attention to detail for all processes.
- Experience in a working environment using Microsoft Sweep and Lotus Notes.
- Manual calculator accuracy.
- Ability to interpret Australian ITEAs.
- Working knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation in order to align with Sandviks internal culture and policies and procedures.
