Program Manager – Engineering – Naval Projects
Our client is looking for a senior Engineering Program Manager to lead a high profile naval defence project.
It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate strong experience in such areas as: targeting costs, financial modelling, risk management, quality procedures and technical performance goals. Leadership will be required in such areas as; setting budgets and schedules as well as program and executing engineering policies, engineering gate reviews and the ability to manage category test reviews. Working within a strict quality environment is key along with exceptional communication skills both at client level and with internal stakeholders.
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of the following academic and professional qualifications:
Technical degree or equivalent
Certificate 4 in Project Management
AIPM accreditation to Certified Project Manager
Post Graduate qualifications would be desirable.
A minimum of five years experience in program management. Strong Management experience, thorough knowledge of the defence business, particularly relating to Naval Operations. Demonstrate high-level skills in team leadership, customer relationship and contract management. Be able to demonstrated exceptional skills in financial cost control utilising Earned Value Principles. Experience in managing all aspects of a business including development of strategy, establishing win-win relationships with customers and suppliers, and leading people in the implementation of plans to meet customer requirements and expectations.
The ability to hold a defence security clearance to secret level is essential.
The position is based in Western Australia within the Perth metro area.
